  3. 1/2 cup Green peas

  7. 1 Finely chopped onion
  8. 2 Finely chopped green chillies
  9. 1 tsp Ginger garlic paste
  10. 2 tsp Chopped coriander leaves to garnish
  11. 2 tsp Lemon juice
  12. 1 tsp Mustard seeds
  13. 1.5 tsp Cumin seeds
  14. 1/4 tsp Hing/asafoetida
  15. 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
  16. 1 tsp Chilli powder
  17. 1.5 teaspoons Coriander powder
  18. 1/2 tsp Saunf / fennel powder
  19. 1/2 tsp Garam masala
  20. 1/4 tsp Sugar
  21. to taste Salt
  22. as needed Water
  23. 1 tablespoon Cooking oil

Instructions to make to make Mixed Vegetable Sabji

  1. First, heat a karahi/ pan. Add oil. When it heats,add the Mustard seeds and cumin seeds.
  2. When the seeds splutter, add hing. Stir once. Add onions. Stir and saute' till soft. Then add the Ginger garlic paste. Saute well. Add turmeric powder and mix well.
  3. Then add potatoes and combine well. Then add carrots, cabbage and mix well. Add 1/4 cup hot water, pinch of salt and sugar and cook with cover on medium flame.
  4. When veggies are soft add peas, tomatoes and cook again till the tomatoes are done. Then mix all spices in a small bowl and make a paste with water. Add it to the subji, mix well. Adjust salt as per taste. Then add gram masala and mix.
  5. Then cook covered for 1 minute to let the subji absorb the spices. Then turn off flame. Then lastly mix in the lemon juice and combine well.
  6. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves. Serve it hot with paratha, fulka roti or with Dal and rice. Enjoy yummy meal.
